Terms of Service

Last updated: September 11, 2026

1. The service

CanRouter provides an application programming interface that routes customer requests to third-party AI model providers. Access is prepaid: you load a credit balance and requests draw from it at the published per-model rate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the credentials issued to your account. API keys are shown once and stored in hashed form. If a key is lost, revoke it and create a replacement.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to violate applicable law, infringe the rights of others, circumvent rate or spend limits, or interfere with the operation of the platform. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Billing and credits

Charges are calculated per request from the active pricing table and recorded in an immutable ledger. Credits are applied to your balance only after a payment is verified. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Data

We record usage metadata — tokens, cost, latency, and status — and do not store prompt or response bodies. Content you send is transmitted to the upstream provider needed to serve your request.

6. Availability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. We publish maintenance and incident notices in the dashboard and on the status page.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the dashboard and by email.
